Cabra-Vale Diggers Club

Civil, Façade & Structural Engineering

Zait is proud to be collaborating with one of NSW’s largest clubs’ latest developments – Stage 2.

The development of the already popular venue, ‘Cabra-Vale Diggers Club’, consist of a substantial extension of the venue, bringing new bars, clubs, restaurants, entertainment facilities, outdoor pool and cabanas for the new multi-storey hotel and a two-level basement car park, designed by Altis Architecture.

Zait involvement consist of Structural, Civil and Façade Engineering, combining disciplinaries with Revit and BIM 360 capabilities were able to provide clash detections with all building elements in the design phase to provide the most feasible, sustainable, and optimal solutions.

The Façade design of the Porte Cochere was mixture of materials of structural steel, aluminium, and glass, with a perforated screen curved and wrapping the main entrance to the venue, with a very complicated profile that only a powerful Strand 7 model in 3d could achieve the design intent.

The glazing of the main entry and Porte Cochere is a frameless glass panel system with glass fins/stiffeners and point fixings known as ‘Spider’ fixings, collectively with the steel structural frame, gives the Façade a very unique and amazing look.

This project is one that brought many challenges, to which our Team was dedicated to overcoming the challenges and to deliver to the client and all stakeholders.
