14-16 Albert St Ingleburn C1 Childcare

Zait was selected by Pintano Property to provide integrated Structural, Civil, Stormwater and Façade engineering design and supervision services to their new Childcare Centre at Ingleburn, designed by Hames Sharley.

The childcare centre comprises of a Lobby, 2 Preschool rooms, 2 Toddler rooms, Kitchen, Cot Room, Infant Room, Staff Rooms, Outdoor Play Terrace and at grade Outdoor Play Areas over a single level basement car park.

Outdoor areas required level access at doors resulting in slotted drainage identified by our façade team. These drainage points had to be integrated inside the concrete transfer decks as headroom was restricted. Similarly, the Outdoor Play terrace required detailed integration with the structure the run the drainage to the OSD at the rear of the building through the basement car park.

The civil design was optimised to require works on one side of the street, while the ramp to the carpark was fine tuned to pass all requirements for access with limited headroom clearance.

This project is one that brought some interesting civil and drainage challenges, to which our Team was dedicated to overcoming, to deliver a safe environment for families and staff.
